DACA protects approximately 28,000 Arizona young people. We know firsthand the harm that removal of DACA will cause to both the young people directly affected and to our communities. Studies show that 95 percent of DACA students are either in school or working. Five percent started their own businesses. The Arizona DACA workforce paid $40 million in state taxes in 2014. We urge Congress to defend Dreamers.
Parents without reliable, affordable childcare may have to make the horrible choice to leave children home alone or in other inconsistent or dangerous situations when they have to go to work. This can contribute to lack of adequate supervision for children and a report of child neglect. Get local and national resources from Arizona Early Childhood Alliance here.
