We will open pathways to better paying jobs.
Valley of the Sun United Way is proud to partner with Live and Learn Foundation to empower young women in our community. Live and Learn provides one-on-one support to those who have or may be currently experiencing poverty, homelessness, and domestic violence. Women in the program can receive career guidance, job training, mentoring, financial assistance and more.
We will not only provide resources to help individuals prepare to earn a living wage, but to increase the number or people in our community who achieve higher paying wages. This work will rely on the experience and know-how of our partners. The below Coalition members focus on our Mighty workforce development goals and develop strategies to create impact. When informed by the Coalition and their Action Teams, we change course as needed to stay focused on the right programs and solutions to reach our bold goals for Maricopa County.
